Hello everyone! Can you believe it has been FOUR YEARS since Science All Around was started? I still can't believe it myself but, even after four years, Science All Around is still going and it's stronger than ever. I just checked my statistics yesterday and we're getting hundreds of new readers every week! You guys come from all over the world. The largest group of readers is in the Northeastern United States but there's readers from over eighty countries! I literally couldn't have done this without all of you. You guys are my audience and I would like to thank you so much for reading Science All Around. This past year, I was very, very busy. Science All Around kind of went on the sidelines for a little while. However, the chaos should end in a few months and Science All Around will be back, stronger than ever before. I have lots of big plans for Science All Around. I won't say what they are now but my plans are to turn Science All Around into not just a science news and information site, but a whole network of videos, articles, science behind the headlines, and so, so much more. Also, Science All Around has a Twitter that you can follow now (@sciallaround) and get updates, cool science facts, and more. During the eclipse, views of Science All Around tweets spiked into the thousands. It just goes to show how strong of an audience you all are. Thanks for four great years and here's to another great year! Next year is five years!

Man, I can't believe it's been three years.
On this day, three years ago, I started Science All Around and I can't believe how much it's grown since then. The day was September 14th, 2013. As far as I remember, it was a nice Fall day and that was made all the better by the fact that it was a Saturday. After finishing the little bit of homework I had, I went about creating my website. A few hours later, it launched. And Science All Around was born. Honestly, I never thought Science All Around would grow as big as it did. I thought I might get a few thousand visits tops, but here I am today with over 12,500 visits to Science All Around over the past three years. It's absolutely mind blowing how many of you have read Science All Around. My thanks to you all is enormous. The even more shocking thing is that all of you have come from somewhere around 80 countries from every inhabitable continent. That's incredible. By the way, Russia, you're my most engaged visitors on average. The content of Science All Around has grown enormously since it was started three years ago. SAA went from two articles to over a dozen pages with several articles each. There is content on almost every topic imaginable. Right now there's overviews of topics and general knowledge but I'll soon be revisiting old topics to write more articles and edit the older ones. And, after nearly three years, Science All Around has changed its logo. You might remember the old logo of the earth with Science All Around printed across it in orange letters. Things have definitely changed. I did that logo in Microsoft Paint. Now, for things I do myself, I use Canva for simple things such as the InMotion Spotlight. The new logo was created by my graphic designer and I am very pleased with the results. I've also become more active on the Science All Around YouTube channel and there are more videos starting to appear there. They'll probably start to wane now that the Summer is over but I'll try my best to create videos when I can. No guarantees, though. So, if there's one thing about this post to take away its that I am incredibly thankful for all of you who read Science All Around. It's been an incredible journey so far and I hope to continue the journey for years to come. |
